Kristi's stories about the light of destiny that shines through our darkest struggles have been shaped by her life experiences and faith journey. These experiences include her daughter's difficult and mysterious medal crisis, which is one of the featured threads in her debut novel, The Key of Shadows.
A long-time English teacher, Kristi got interrupted from her class one day by a phone call that would change her life. Her four year-old daughter was being taken to the hospital by ambulance after a seizure at pre-K. Her first seizure of thousands.
The long journey that followed inspired her to help others find faith within the shadows, the kind of strength we don't always know we have, and a heroic destiny we may have never anticipated.

She lives in the Smoky Mountain foothills of Tennessee surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation with her husband, her teenage daughter and son, and playful family dogs.
